With Ganymede elections coming up later this month, many expect there to be a regime change. The former administration, after bungling legislation to prohibit the capture and sale of the Ganymede Searat, has lost most of the approval of Ganymede's citizens, most of which have begun to support the more Eco-friendly Conservationist party.
Though some claim that the Conservationist party is radical, having sprouted from the seed of more violent organizations, such as the infamous Eco-terrorists the Space Warriors, many believe them to be working in the best interest of Ganymede's natural resources, which are believed to be grossly unregulated.
In recent days however, the Ganymede government has received hostile threats warning that any election would be met with deadly reprisals. The group, calling themselves MACOG, or the Movement Against Change on Ganymede, declared that if any voting takes place, they would detonate a Chemical Weapon in Ganymede's seas, which would cause untold damage to the environment and Ganymede's economy.
The ISSP is investigating Ganymede's ruling faction for any connection to the terrorist plot, but so far, no results have been obtained, and the government maintains they are not involved in any way with a terrorist organization.
